Sgt. Kristopher Battles / Marine Corp Combat Artist
For most of us, seeing our childhood dream coming to fruition is something that does not happen but for Sgt. Kris Battles the story is a little different. Sgt Battles fell in love with art at a young age and since has been pursuing it. After a prior military career, Kris reenlisted in 2006 where he became the Marine Corp Combat Artist. "It really allowed me to travel with my passion", said Kris in reference to his career. He was given the opportunity to see the world traveling to places like Iraq, Haiti, the Philippines and many of other locations. His current position with with the Navy is affording the same possibilities. Kris is definitely an example of where following your dreams can take you.
