Hidden Rhythms Recap
Since its opening, Maketto has hosted some of the vibiest events in the city and Tuesday night was no different. Noah Hirsch, a young mixed media artist, presented his first solo exhibition of his work and the response was electric. He presented a variety of pieces, mixing paint, print and paper together to execute his visions; everything from canvases to framed work, to books and shirts as well, all providing a feeling unique to itself. As chatter around the venue spread, word of both his ability to translate an idea to his down to earth, humble personality it was clear that he had impressed quite a few of those in attendance, including myself. All in all, the show was a good experience. For his first solo exhibition, Noah was able to bring out a very diverse crowd, something that most artists often struggle with. But with his work showing just as much diversity, it was hardly a surprise once I took the time to take in the art and have a conversation with him. Check out more of his work and stay up to dat with his journey on his Instagram (@nohirsch) .
