Snowzilla, 2016

For all those that have been snowed in with no power, wifi & data, welcome back to the world. The fittingly-named blizzard, Snowzilla, swept it's way across our Mid-Atlantic region and held no punches. Nearly 2 feet covered the DMV streets this weekend (most of it still covers DC) and shut the city down in a major way and our neighborhoods are still largely unplowed. After only a few hours of sitting restlessly in the house, I had to do what I knew best, pick up my Nikon  and face Snowzilla head on. I will go on record and say that the storm was pretty real. Very few cars were on the streets, winds pushing and pulling me anyway that it wanted and a a cold that left my cheeks numb for quite awhile but the challenge of battling the wind was insanely fun for a photographer. And in the end, if another blizzard hit this weekend, I would be right back out there Nikon in-hand.

Below are some images of my adventure Friday night and a few from Sunday after the snow stopped falling and I was finally able to dig out from my driveway. Enjoy.
