Tim - Storyteller Sunday
This weekend, House Studios had a shooter's networking event over at their studios in Hyattsville and I happened to meet quite a few pretty cool people. One of them was Tim, a photographer from the area and as we talked, Tim was cool with sharing his story. This week, meet:
Tim / Sony Shooter
The entirety of my conversation with Tim, there was a resonating theme of consistency. From the way he took his photos to his energy in general, you could tell that consistency was important to him. "It's important in life..... be consistent with everything that you do", the words straight from the source's mouth. Now this may sound a little cliche, in fact, when he first said it I thought the same. But the more I watched, the more I understood. Tim shoots with the Sony a7rII, Sony's newest masterpiece of machinery that is known for it's consistently potent imagery. That alone tells you a bit about who he is and what he values as a shooter. During the convo he was telling me that photography is what taught him to remain consistent. "Prior to shooting, I was no good at remaining consistent with my hobbies in life". We all know (by we I mean my fellow shooters) that photography is a pretty expensive craft and once you break it out the packaging, there is no turning back. You fall deeper and deeper in love with each photo you take and pretty soon that cliche number sticker becomes a series reality. Consistency is very important and life and if Tim's experience is any example for the rest of us, it's that consistency will have us experiencing moments that we never thought obtainable.
