How Much Swimwear Can 1 Model Pack?

Traveling is about enjoying yourself, right?  It's about being present while the water washes your feet as the sand secedes back into the shore, right? As true as that may be for most, our purpose as creatives was a little different. Our biggest goal was capturing content. Content. Content. Content. In the midst of the content capturing process, we did get lost in the moment and enjoy ourselves as well but the priority was always focused on creating.

When we began preparing for the trip, one thing that we really wanted to establish was a sense of unity between the people that were coming. Grabbing any or every painter, videographer, model, etc can seem like a great idea but make sure that everyone is on the same page was important to us. And as a result, allowed us to have an amazing trip. One of the biggest problems people face in traveling in groups is balancing expectations and energies. Another important factor in traveling in groups is making sure everyone packs light. Unfortunately, we failed in this regard but for good reason. Being a model, a photographer, a creative director/stylist, and a videographer come with an inherent need to pack as plentifully as possible. My bag was full of camera equipment, as was Cam's but the luggage that took up the most space belonged to Miss Hollywood herself, Zola the model. For the purpose of capturing content, the more options the better. Zola came to Costa Rica with a suitcase full of swimwear specifically to shoot in and as a shooter, that level of dedication to capturing content was greatly appreciated.

In looking back, I believe we succeeded. We captured a multitude of content and for this being our first planned group trip, I think we rode the wave as well as could be expected. A lot of valuable lessons were learned and at the end of the day, Costa Rica still stands present in my mind even 3 weeks removed from the country.
