Balance Between Life and Work
When you're chasing your dreams intently, full-steam-ahead, somethings get sacrificed. Tunnel vision is a trait that we praise but it also allows for certain responsibilities to get pushed to the back. Understanding the balance between work and life can be difficult. I was told to look at it like an olympic swimmer, even at their most competitive state mid-race, they still have to come up for air at some point. And that's where the balance lies. Focus on your craft, build your skill, elevate your network but you still have to ground yourself in reality. In talking to a lot of artists in the area, I've heard many mention falling into a space where family ties get cut int the process and as that is normal, that lifestyle will get draining because you're forgetting the importance of coming up for air, of grounding yourself back in reality.
I mentioned it last time but this shoot in particular is what truly showed me, Faith is great at what she does. So unafraid to move and extend herself, it really shows her dedication to her craft. The movements being so fluid and natural but still being able to hold composure and not loose her model-self in the images is a skill. Looking forward to our next shoot for sure.
