Swim Good
If this isn’t a sign that summer is on the way, we might not ever get one on the East Coast. 8 days into Spring and it’s still feeling just as Cold and gloomy as it has most of the winter. In actuality, it’s getting warmer but after spending 8 days in LA with 80 degree weather, it seems my body has refused to adjust to these cooler temperatures. As glad as I am to be home I still haven’t been able to settle back in to life in DC but being that I have no choice, I’ve got to force it out of myself.
Living somewhere that I can shoot Swimwear all year around sounds enticing especially growing up seeing SI Swim promoted so heavily, I’ve wanted to shoot it since I got started behind the camera 4 years ago. Maybe it’s the societal acceptance of it that always intrigued me when it’s counterpart, lingerie and “intimate” apparel, are forced to be hidden interests. In theory the 2 are no different but as the rules tell us, the reality is that they are very different.
Shooting with Nai (@hersupremacy) was a fun, energy-filled morning. As you can see from the pics, we were just flowing while taking in the sun. I haven’t shot many swimwear related pieces in the past but after shooting this one, I will definitely be shooting more.
